SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Magway, Bago, Taninthayi Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Kayin State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (6.42) inches in Pauktaw, (5.04) inches in Payathonesu, (4.37) inches in Sittwe, (4.08) inches in Ponnagyun, (2.58) inches in Rathedaung, (2.56) inches in Kalewa, (2.44) inches in Tamu, (2.20) inches in Kyaukpyu, (2.17) inches in Tiddim and (2.12) inches in Kyangin.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, a low pressure area has formed over the Westcentral Bay of Bengal. Weather is cloudy over the Northeast Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal. 

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 4th October, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayin, Mon States and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of withdrawal of Southwest monsoon from the Deltaic Myanmar areas.
