SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Kachin,Northern Shan, RakhineStates and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaingand Mandalay Regions. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (4.10) inches in Singu, (2.80) inches in Gwa, (2.33)inches in Shwebo, (2.24) inches in Paungbyin, (2.08) inches in Ye, (1.93) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.89) inches in Manaung, (1.57) inches in Namsam, (1.50) inches in Kunlong and (1.46) inches in Phyarpon.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th September, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolatedheavyfalls in Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA:Squall with moderate to rough seas arelikely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
