BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong  over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the  Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEACTURES: According to the observations at (5:30)hrs MST today, the Tropical Storm “Ma-On” over Guangxi Province, South China has moved to West-Southwest and it was centered over Hanoi Province, Vietnam. It is forecast to move West-Northwestwards and weaken as a land depression near Northern Lao during next (12)hr and as a low-pressure near Eastern Myanar area during next (24)hr. Due to the Tropical Depression “Ma-on”, rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread to widespread in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States will likelihood of isolated heavyfalls during from this morning to (28.8.2022).

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th August, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread Bago, Taninthayi Regions and fairly widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and Shan,  Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar water. Wave height will be about (7– 9)feet Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coast and about (4-7) feet off and along Rakhine coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Increase of rain in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kay​ah,Kayin, Mon States.
