SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region and Rakhine State. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (8.15) inches in Phyarpon, (7.45) inches in Bogale, (6.42) inches in Ye, (6.38) inches in Launglon, (6.26) inches in Mawlamyinegyun, (6.10) inches in Dawei, (6.00) inches in Kyaiklat, (5.83) inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), (5.63) inches in Mawlaik,  (5.55) inches in Hainggyigyun, (4.72) inches in Wakema, (4.65) inches in Paung, (4.41) inches in Thabaung, (4.25) inches in Nyauntone and (4.09) inches in Kungyangon.  

BAY INFERENCE Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate to strong elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 23rd July, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing Region and Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squall with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (35-40) mph. Wave height will be about (8-10) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Moderate monsoon.
