SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (North and South)Shan State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Eastern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread Yangon Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Mon State. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperatures in Yangon Region and Kayin State and (2°C) below May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan State, (4°C) below May average temperature in Kachin State and about May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (38°C) in Bawlakhae and (37°C) each in Chauk, Gangaw and Pauk. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (3.38) inches in Ye, (3.08) inches in Dawei, (2.75) inches in Okpho, (1.93) inches in Thaton, (1.77) inches in Maungdaw, (1.68) inches in Payathonesu, (1.61) inches in Taungkok, (1.50) inches in Mawlamyine, (1.46) inches in Naypyitaw Airport(Ela) and (1.34) inches in Launglon.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and moderate over Eastcentral Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 28th May, 2022: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, scattered in Shan state, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Rakhine, Mon States.
