BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (18:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Land Depression crossed near Mawlamyine, Mon State(Myanmar). It moved to North-Northeast and has crossing near Hpa-an, Kayin State(Myanmar), the present stage of the land depression is coded brown stage. Monsoon is vigorous over the Andaman Sea and EastcentralBay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL NOON OF THE21stMay, 2022:Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Sagaing  Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway  Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Magway Region and Rakhine State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squall with rough to very rough seas are likely to be experienced in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squall may reach (45) mph. Squall with moderate to rough seasare likely at times elsewhere in Myanmar waters.Surface wind speed in squall may reach (30-35) mph.Wave height will be about (9-14) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-TaninthayiCoasts and (8-10) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.
