SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Eastern Shan States. Weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Bago Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) above March average temperatures in KachinState,(3°C) to (4°C) above March average temperatures in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin State,(2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Yangon Region and Kayah, Kayin, Mon Statesand about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were(44°C) eachin Chauk and Nyaung Oo, (43°C) each in Tada U(Aviation Met), Magway and Taungdwingyi. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were(0.66)inch in Dawei and (0.08) inch in Monyin.

BAY INFERENCE:According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean. It is now lie over South Bay of Bengal still persists. It is likely to move East-Northeast wards and it is likely to intensify into a Depression over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining Andaman Sea at (20.3.2022). It is continuous forecast to move North-Northwestwards and it intensified into a Cyclonic Storm. And then it is recurve to North-Northeastwards and it is likely to reach Bangladesh and Rakhine coast of Myanmar at (23.3.2022).

Weather is cloudy over the Southwest Bay and generally fair over the North Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th March, 2022:Rain or thundershowerswill beisolated in Taninthayi Region and Eastern and Southern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will bepartly cloudyin Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Northern Shan, Rakhine State and generally fairin the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA:Sea will beslight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers inTaninthayi Region and isolated in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Kayah, Kayin andMon States.
