SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan and Chin States, Scattered in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and isolated in Rakhine State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Magway, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Upper Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States and (6°C) above January average temperature in Northern Shan State and about January average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Tongzan, (6°C) in Hakha and (7°C) each in Namsam, Pinlaung, Heho, Loilin, Kengtung, Mongyang and Tiddim. The noteworthy amounts of rainfall recorded were (0.47) inch in Myitkyina, (0.35) inch in Monyin, (0.28) inch each in Mogaung and Tiddim, (0.23) inch in Katha and (0.16) inch each in Falam and Tamu.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 26th January, 2022:  Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan State and isolated in Magway Region and Eastern Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated to scattered rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States.
