SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Kayah State. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Bago, Yangon Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Region and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.14) inches in Sittwe, (3.78) inches in Maungdaw, (2.72) inches in Gwa, (2.24) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.54) inches in Hmawbi(Agro-Met), (1.50) inches each in Kyaukpyu and Thandwe and (1.30) inches in Myitkyina.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea, Northeast and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd October, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Kachin, Rakhine States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Yangon Regions and (Northern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayin States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Kachin, Rakhine States. STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4– 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
