SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated  inNaypyitaw and Mandalay Region, scattered in Bago Region and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.43) inches in Kawthaung, (2.87) inches in Chaungsone, (2.36) inches in Thaton, (2.16) inches in Myeik, (1.65) inches in Paung, (1.61) inches in Myauk U, (1.46) inches in Tiddim, (1.06) inches in Payathonsu and (1.04) inches in Kyeikdon.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy over the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal . Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 8th October, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Bago Region, (Northern and Southern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35) m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 – 9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuation of thundery activities in the Southern Myanmar areas.
