SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and the Deltaic Myanmar areas.Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions,fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.35) inches in Singu, (2.05) inches in Sittwe, (1.69) inches in Kyuakpyu, (1.50) inches in Myinmu, (1.42) inches in Madauk, (1.38) inches in Myingyan, (1.30) inches in Chaungsone and (1.10) inches in Nyaunglaybin.

BAY INFERENCE:Weather is partly cloudy over the North and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 6th October, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Mandalay Regionsand Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Shan, Rakhine,Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 – 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
