SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region and Chin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State, scattered in Bago, Yangon Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Rakhine, Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Upper Sagaing Region. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.31) inches in Mawlaik, (2.24) inches in Manaung, (2.13) inches in Nyauntone, (1.60) inches in Paing Kyone, (1.38) inches in Phaungpyin, (1.29) inches in Homalin and (1.26) inches each in Hkamti and Labutta.
BAY INFERENCE:Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay of Bengal and monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th October, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing,Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State, scattered in Shan, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4 – 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
