BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the Cyclonic Storm “GULAB” over the Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bangal has moved Westwards and centered at about (380) Nautical miles Southwest of Sittwe, (465) Nautical miles West-Northwest of Gwa, (470) Nautical miles Northwest of Hainggyigyun (Myanmar), (120) Nautical miles South-Southwest of Paradip and (110) Nautical miles Southeast of Gopalpur(India). Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 26th September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region, Kachin, Chin States, scattered in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9 -12)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyawady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
