BAY INFERENCE:Monsoon is moderate to strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURES: According to the observations at (06:30) hrs MST today, the tropical storm “DIANMU” over the South China Sea, has crossed middle coast of Vietnam near Danang (Vietnam). It is over the Vietnam into a land Depression and forecast to move Westwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 24thSeptember, 2021:Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Kachin and Northern Shan States, scattered in Sagaing Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (7 -10)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
