SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has been withdrawn from the Northern Myanmar areas. Weather has been partly cloudy in Eastern Shan and Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, scattered in Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Mandalay, Magway Regions and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Northern Shan State.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (7.68) inches in Madaya, (3.94) inches each in Kyaukmae and Launglon, (3.15) inches in Mandalay (Aungmyethazan),(2.87) inches each in Mingin and Kyeikkhame, (2.75) inches in Mawlamyine, (2.53) inches each in Namsam and Ramthlo, (2.29) inches in Kawthaung, (2.25) inches in Patheingyi, (2.12) inches in Shwebo and (1.97) inches each in Gangaw and Mandalay(Chanayethazan).

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st September, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Southern Shan, Mon States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin States and scattered in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Mandalay and Taninthayi Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar Waters. Wave height will be about (4– 7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Thundery activities in the Central Myanmar areas.
