SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Magway Region and Chin State, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Northern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Ragions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.86) inches in Myinmu, (3.38) inches in Ngazun, (2.83) inches in Monywa(Kyemone), (2.28) inches each in Kawkareik and Myeik, (2.24) inches in Kyeikdon, (2.04) inches in Shwebo, (2.02) inches in Pyinoolwin, (1.97) inches each in Hlaingbwe and Kamamaung, (1.81) inches in Bhamo, (1.77) inches in Theinzayet, (1.74) inches in Thabeikkyin and (1.64) inches in Tagaung.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay and adjoining Westcentral Bay of Bengal off North Andhra Pradesh-South Odisha coasts still persists. Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Ragions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (6-8)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Weak monsoon.
