SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours,weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing andMagway Regions. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State, fairly widespread in Northern Shan, Chin, RakhineandKayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.59) inches in Shwegone, (2.05) inches in Sittwe, (1.69) inches in Launglon, (1.61) inches in Myitkyina, (1.50) inches in Hpa-an, (1.46) inches in Dawei, (1.38) inches in Kawkareik and (1.22)inches in Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 24thAugust, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing Regionand Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Southern and Eastern) ShanState and isolated in the remaining Ragions and States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate inMyanmarwaters. Wave height will be about (4 -7)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Moderate monsoon over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal.
