SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State, scattered in Naypyitaw,Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Kachin, Rakhine States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfallsin Taninthayi Region and Rakhine State and isolated heavyfallsin Yangon Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (6.34) inches in Thandwe, (6.10) inches in Launglon,(4.40) inches in Coco-Island, (4.33) inches in Kamamaung, (4.06) inches each in Gwa and Dawei, (3.98) inches in Bhamo, (3.70) inchesin Paung,(2.88) inches  in Mawlamyine, (2.67) inches in Zaung Tu, (2.56) inches in Ye, (2.48) inches inManaung, (2.44) inches in Myaungmya and (2.36) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Saging, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Chin State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8–10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (6-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
