SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Kayah State, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper SagaingRegion and (Northern and Southern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfallsin Magway, Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.50) inches in Dawei, (2.76) inches in Minesat,(2.64) inches in Mudon, (2.52) inches in Launglon, (2.36) inches each in Mingin and Zaung Tu, (2.24) inches in Belin, (2.13) incheseach in Labutta and Hpa-an(Agro-Met), (1.97) inches each in Thandwe and Kawthaung, (1.85) inches each in Thayat and Myeik and (1.78) inches each in Mogaung and Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and weak to moderate elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Saging, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kayah State, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Bago Region and Southern Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (8–10) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon- Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Increase of rain in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States.
