SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Kayin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.90) inches in Myaungmya, (3.28) inches in Kyeikdon, (2.95) inches in Hlainggyigyun, (2.76) inches in Myawaddy, (2.72) inches in Sittwe, (2.64) inches each in Namsam and Launglon, (2.36) inches in Gwa, (2.32) inches in Kawkareik, (2.17) inches each in Pathein and Shan-Ywar-Thit, (2.13) inches in Labutta and (2.01) inches in Maungdaw.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th August, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Kachin State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Mandalay Regions and widespread in the remaining Regionsand States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine State and isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -11)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
