SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Lower Sagaing and Ayeyarwady Regions, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern) Shan States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Chin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (6.54) inches in Kyauktaw, (5.94) inches in Paletwa, (4.84) inches in Payathonsu, (4.65) inches in Myawaddy, (4.47) inches in Shwegwin, (3.98) inches in Maungdaw, (3.35) inches in Ye, (3.15) inches in Paung, (3.11) inches in Taungkok, (2.99) inches in Hpa-an(Agro-Met), (2.68) inches in Kamamaung and (2.40) inches in Paingkyone.
BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 30th July, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine Stateand isolated heavyfalls in Chin, Kayin and Mon States. STATE OF THE SEA:Squalls with rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (35-40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8 -11)feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
