SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Naypyitaw and Mandalay Region, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Kayin, Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.20) inches in Kyeikmayaw, (4.33) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit(Hlaingbwe), (4.29) inches in Kawthaung, (3.94) inches in Kya-In-Seikkyi, (3.89) inches in Thaton, (3.74) inches in Mawlamyine, (3.70) inches in Paing Kyone, (3.62) inches in Machanbaw, (3.58) inches each in Kyeikkhame and Paung, (3.38) inches in Ye, (3.31) inches each in Mudon and Chaungsone and (3.19) inches each in Thabeikkyin and Hpa-an (Agro-Met).

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22ndJuly, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Naypyitaw,Mandalay andMagway Regions, fairly widespread in Sagaing, Bago Regions and Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in Ayeyarwady Region and Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions. STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40) m.p.h. Wave height will be about (8-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
