SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been  isolated in Magway Region, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, fairly widespread in Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Kayah and Kayin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with regionally heavyfalls in Rakhine Stateand isolated heavyfalls in Yangon and Taninthayi Regions. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (4.42) inches in Coco Island, (3.90) inches in Manaung, (3.35) inches in Kyaukpyu, (3.31) inches in Launglon, (2.87) inches in Taungkok, (2.32) inches each in Sittwe and Zalun, (2.28) inches in Thandwe, (1.73) inches each in Yangon(Kaba-Aye) and Hinthada, (1.61) inchesin Ngathaichaung and (1.57)inches each in Tamu, Ann and Myaungmya.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (13:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining Odisha and West Bengal Coasts(India) still persists. Monsoon is strong to vigorous over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

SPECIAL FEATURE: According to the observations at (13:30)MST today, the tropical storm “Koguma” has crossed over the upper Vietnam coasts and weaken as a land depression. It is forecast tomove West-Northwestwards.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 14th June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, Upper SagaingRegion and Kachin, Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of regionally heavyfalls in RakhineState and isolated heavyfalls in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (100%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (9-13) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Continuations of increase of rain in Coastal areas.
