SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Southwest monsoon has advanced into the Central Myanmar areas and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, (Northern and Eastern)Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Chin States and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Yangon Regions with isolated heavyfalls in Naypyitaw. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Magway, Bago Regions and Chin State and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and (2°C) below May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and (Northern and Eastern) Shan State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) in Minbu and (40°C) each in Vaar(Falam), Chauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.80) inches in Kyeikdon, (2.48) inches in Kalewa, (1.73) inches in Mawlaik, (1.50) inches in Naypyitaw Airport (Ela), (1.26) inches each in Pyinmana (Walgyi) and Madaya(Agro), (1.14) inches in Kyeikkhame, (1.11) inches each in Naungcho and Mogoke and (1.07) inches in Bhamo.

BAY INFERENCE: Monsoon is weak to moderate over the Andaman Sea, South Bay, Eastcentral Bay and Northeast Bay of Bengal. Weather is a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 02nd June, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Kachin and Northern Shan States, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing,Taninthay Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Southern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States and isolated in Magway, Bago, Yangon and  Ayeyarwady Regions. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of thundery activities in the Northern Myanmar areas.
