SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon Regions and Chin, Kayah States. Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Taninthayi Region and Northern Shan, Mon States, fairly widespread in Kachin, Southern Shan States, scattered in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Eastern Shan State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) above May average temperatures in Magway, BagoRegions, (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Mon States, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Taninthayi Region and (Northern and Southern)Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and (2°C) above May average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and about May average temperature in Kachin State. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk, (44°C) each in Myinmu, Myingyan and Minbu and (43°C) each in Monywa, Nyaung Oo, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Pauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (5.04) inches in Kyaukmae, (3.86) inches in Belin, (2.80) inches in Mogoke, (2.00) inches in Kyaukhtu, (1.93) inches in Naungcho, (1.85)inches in Thipaw, (1.81)inches in Myitnge and (1.70)inches in Singu(Agro).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 20th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Mon State, fairlywidespread in Kachin, Shan States, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kayin States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
