SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region, scattered in Mandalay Region and Kachin, Mon States and isolated in Sagaing Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (7°C) to (8°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway and Bago Regions, (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (46°C) in Chauk, (45°C) in Aunglan, (44°C) each in Monywa, Myinmu, Nyaung Oo, Myinmu, Magway, Pakokku, Taungdwingyi, Gangaw, Sinbyugyun and Bawlakhae.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.67) inch in Chaungsone, (0.47) inch in Sagaing, (0.26) inch in Shwe Sa Yan (Patheingyi), (0.20) inch in Mandalay and (0.12) inch each in Myitnge and Yamethin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is cloudy over the South Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the North Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 19th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will befairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kachin, Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Kayin State and isolated in in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
