SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been scattered in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Chin States, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and  Northern Shan, Rakhine States and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (5°C) to (6°C) above May average temperatures in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regionsand Mon State, (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern) Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Northern Shan State and about May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. The significant day temperatures were (45°C) in Chauk and (42°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun, Tharrawady and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.06) inches in Kawthaung, (0.64) inch in Yangon (Kaba-Aye), (0.59) inch in Kyauktaw, (0.48) inch in Yangon (Mingladon), (0.36) inch in Paletwa,  (0.24) inch in Hmawbi (Agro-Met) and (0.20) inch in Central Yangon.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will bescattered in Taninthayi Region and Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagiang, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwaddy Regions and Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States.
