SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Yangon Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, isolated in Mandalay, Bago,Ayeyarwady Regions and weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above May average temperatures in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regionsand Mon State, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Magway Region and Kayin State and (2°C) below May average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and (4°C) below May average temperature in Kachin State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk and (41°C) each in Nyaung Oo, Minbu, Tharrawady and Bawlakhae. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.77) inches in Shwegwin (Hlaingbwe), (1.42) inches in Katha, (0.79) inch in Shwekyin, (0.75) inch each in Machanbaw and Muse, (0.71) inch each in Monyin and Matupi and (0.59) inch in Shwegu.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagiang Region and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State.
