SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon Regions, scattered in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin, Southern Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States.Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperatures in Magway, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and (2°C) above May average temperatures in Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Mon States and (3°C) to (4°C) below May averagetemperatures in Upper Sagaing Region and Northern State and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States.The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk, (42°C) in Sinbyugyun and (41°C) each in Myingyan, Nyaung Oo, Minbu and Magway.The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (2.83) inches in Shan-Ywar-Thit(Hlaingbwe), (1.14) inches in Lashio, (1.10) inches in Kyaukmae,(1.06) inches in Pyinoolwin, (1.02) inches in Naungcho, (1.00) inches in Hpapun, (0.91) inch in Mogoke, (0.79) inch in Seiktha,(0.75) inch in Tamu and (0.71) inch each in Monyin, Katha and Shwebo.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 13th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Upper Sagiang Region and Northern Shan, Chin States, fairly widespread in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Continuation of likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin States.
