SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing Region. Rain or thundershowers have been isolated in Naypyitaw, Magway, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States, scattered in Mandalay Region and Chin, Kayin States, fairly widespread in Bago Region and Shan, Kayah States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with isolated heavyfalls in Taninthayi Region. Day temperatures were (3°C) above May average temperatures in Bago Region and Rakhine, Mon States, (2°C) above May average temperatures in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Chauk and Minbu and (41°C) each in Magway, Aunglan, Taungdwingyi, Sinbyugyun, Ann and Tharrawady. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (3.50) inches in Kawthaung, (1.77) inches in Zaung Tu, (1.57) inches in Coco Island, (1.50) inches in Mudon, (1.40) inches in Kya- In- Seikkyi, (1.38) inches in Theinzayet, (0.98) inch in Kalewa, (0.91) inch in Hainggyigyun and (0.79) inch each in Mawlamyine and Kyeikmayaw.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region, fairly widespread in Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Kayah States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-6) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
