SUMMARY OF OBSERV5ATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Lower Sagaing Region and Southern Shan, Kayah States, fairly widespread in Mandalay, Bago Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin States, scattered in Magway, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above May average temperatures in Upper Sagaing  Region and Kachin States, (3°C) to (4°C) below May average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Kayah States, (2°C) below May average temperatures in Mandalay and Bago Regions and about May average temperature in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (43°C) in Chauk and (40°C) each in Kalewa, Meiktila, Ann and Nyaunglaybin. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.66) inches in Hakha, (1.33) inches in Hinthada, (1.18) inches in Hainggyigyun, (0.94) inch in Myinmu and (0.63) inch in Myitkyina.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloudover the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 03rd May, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Taninthayi Region and Shan State, scattered in Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Chin, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be weak to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (3-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay and Magway Regions.
