SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Souther Shan, Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Naypyitaw, scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Eastern Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (6°C) above April average temperature in Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above April average temperatures in Sagaing Region and Northern Shan, Chin States, (2°C) above April average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway Regions and Mon State and (5°C) below April average temperature in Eastern Shan State, (3°C) to (4°C) below April average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (2°C) below April average temperature in Kayah State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (44°C) in Chauk and (42°C) each in Shwebo, Monywa, Nyaun Oo, Minbu, Gangaw, Pauk and Sinbyugyun. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.42) inches in Dawei, (1.30) inches in Kawthaung, (1.22) inches in Mawlamyine, (0.71) inch in Paung, (0.55) inch in Launglon, (0.47) inch in Hmawbi(Agro-Met) and (0.39) inch in Central Yangon.  

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the North Andaman Sea still persists. Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 5th April, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Southern Shan, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in Naypyitaw, Bago Region, Shan(North and East), Kayah States and isolated in the Remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7 - 9)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-7)feet off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and scattered rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States.
