SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin State, isolated in Upper Sagaing, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (3°C) above April average temperature in Northern Shan State, (2°C) above April average temperatures in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Kayah States and (2°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) in Chauk, (41°C) in Hpasaung and (40°C) each in Sagaing, Mandalay, Meiktila, Naung Oo, Yamethin, Kyaukse, Lunkyaw, Tada U(Avia), Minbu, Magway, Aunglan, Gangaw, Sinbyugyun, Taunggu, Zaung Tu, Gyobingauk and Theinzayet. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.67) inch in Kawthaung, (0.32) inch in Mogaung and (0.12) inch in Machanbaw.

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (09:30) hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Central Andaman Sea has intensified into a depression. It is centered at about (215) Nautical miles Southwest of Dawei (Myanmar), about (255) Nautical miles Southeast of Coco Island (Myanmar), about (345) Nautical miles South of Yangon (Myanmar). Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 3rdApril, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States, scattered in BagoRegionand Kayah State and isolated in the Remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA:Occasional squalls with rough seas will be experienced Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (40)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (10 -12)feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-8)feet in off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States and scattered in  Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 3rdApril, 2021:Partly cloudy.
