SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and isolated in Chin, Rakhine States. Weather has been partly cloudy to cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) above April average temperatures in Magway Region, Shan (East and South) State and (5°C) below April average temperature in Kachin State and about April average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (42°C) each in Minbu, Magway and Hpasaung and (41°C) each in Chauk and Aunglan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.47)inch each in Homalin, (0.24)inch in Putao, (0.16) inch each in Machanbaw and Tiddim and (0.12)inch in Myitkyina. 

BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (12:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal now lies over South Andaman Sea. It is likely to intensify over Central Andaman Sea during next (36)hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 2nd April, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be scattered in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin State and isolated in Bago, Yangon Regions and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the Remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and isolated rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Southern Shan, Rakhine States.
