BAY INFERENCE: According to the observations at (05:30)hrs M.S.T today, the low pressure area over the Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining South Andaman Sea now lies over the South Andaman Sea and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal. It is likely to intensify over Central Andaman Sea during next (36)hrs. Weather is cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING OF THE 1st April, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and isolated in Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy in the Remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon – Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Sea will be moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (7-9) feet in Deltaic, Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon –Taninthayi Coasts and about (5-8) feet off and along Rakhine Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered rain or thundershowers in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States and isolated rain or thundershowers in Kachin, Kayah States.
