SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Rain or thundershowers has been isolated in Taninthayi Region. Weather has been partly cloudy in Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan, Chin, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (4°C) above March average temperature in Kachin State and (2°C) above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Shan, Chin States and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) each in Chauk and Bawlakhae and (40°C) each in Monywa, Sagaing, Yamethin, Hlaingtat, Tada U (Avia), Magway, Aunglan, Nyaunglaybin and Hpasaung. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (0.39) inch in Dawei.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloudelsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 18th March, 2021: Rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in TaninthayiRegion and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS:Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, MagwayRegions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States.
