SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions. Weather has been partly cloudy in Kachin, Chin, Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Day temperatures were (2°C) below March average temperature in Kachin State and (3°C) to (4°C)above March average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kayin, Mon States, (2°C) above March average temperatures in Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin State and about March average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant day temperatures were (41°C) each in Chauk and Theinzayet and (40°C) each in Magway, Aunglan, Gyobingauk, Khayan, Hpa-an and Myawaddy. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.63)inch in Myeik and (0.04)inch in Hkamti.

 

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and generally fair elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 10th March, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Northern Shan States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of day temperatures in Naypyitaw, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah, Kayin, Mon States.
