SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Northern Shan State, fairly widespread in Chin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Southern Shan State and isolated in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Kachin, Rakhine States. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below February average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above February average temperatures in Kachin, Southern Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin States, (3°C) to (4°C) above February average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Eastern Shan State and (5°C) to (6°C) above February average temperatures in Lower Sagaing Region and Northern Shan State and about February average temperatures in Yangon Region and Mon State. The significant night temperatures were (9°C) each in Putao, Pinlaung, Heho, Mindat and Hakha and (10°C) each in Loilin, Tiddim, Tongzan and Ramthlo. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.75) inch in Lashio, (0.43) inch in Namsam, (0.12) inch in Kunlong and (0.08) inch in Falam.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud over the Andaman Sea, Southeast and Eastcentral Bay and partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd February, 2021: Rain or thundershowers will be fairly widespread in Northern Shan State, scattered in Shan (South and East) State and isolated in Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in  the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine States.
