SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been scattered in Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kachin, Kayah States and isolated in Yangon Region and Shan (South & East), Mon States. Weather has been generally fair in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Region and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kayah State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Kachin, Eastern Shan, Kayin, Mon States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) in Heho and Hakha, (5°C)each in Kyaukmae, Namsam and Loilin and (6°C) each in Thipaw, Lashio, Mindat, Tiddim, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (1.14) inches in Taunggu, (0.75) inch in Machanbaw, (0.59) inch in Labutta, (0.43) inch in Gyobingauk, (0.32) inch in Nyaunglaybin and (0.24) inch each in Khayan and Hpasaung.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay and a few cloud elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 1st February, 2021: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Kachin and Eastern Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Chin, Rakhine States.
