SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, light rain have been scattered in Naypyitaw and isolated in Bago, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Mon States. Weather has been generally fair in Sagaing Region and Chin State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Yangon Regions and Eastern Shan, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (7°C) above January average temperature in Southern Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (1°C) in Hakha and (7°C) each in Lashio, Kyaukmae, Mongyang, Tiddim and Mogoke. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.08) inch in Minesat and (0.04) inch in Naypyitaw(Dekkhinathiri).

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 31st January, 2021: Weather will be partly cloudy in Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Northern Shan, Chin, Rakhine States. Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (60%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin, Shan, Chin States.
