SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been widespread in Upper Sagaing Region, fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Chin State and isolated in Mandalay Region and Northern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and (Southern and Eastern)Shan, Rakhine States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (4°C) below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Upper Sagaing, Mandalay Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States, (5°C) above January average temperature in Kachin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (4°C) each in Namsam and Loilin, (5°C) each in Heho and Mongyang and (6°C) each in Pinlaung and Tongzan. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.32) inch in Homalin, (0.12) inch in Mogaung and (0.08) inch each in Monyin and Nanyun.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 22nd January, 2021: Rain will be fairly widespread in Kachin State, scattered in Upper Sagaing Region and Chin State and isolated in Northern Shan, Rakhine States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

 STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

 OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin States.
