SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Rain or thundershowers have been widespread in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan State. Weather has been partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (5°C) below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region and (2°C) below January average temperatures in Kayin States, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Rakhine, Kayah States, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Ayeyarwady Region and Northern Shan State and  (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Kachin and Southern Shan States and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) in Hakha, (6°C) in Tiddim and (7°C) each in Mindat and Falam. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded were (0.47) inch in Myitkyina, (0.35) inch in Nanyun, (0.20) inch in Muse, (0.16) inch in Machanbaw, (0.12) inch in Putao and (0.08) inch in Shwe Gu.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 21st January, 2021: Rain will be fair widespread in Kachin State and isolated in Upper Sagaing, Ayeyarwady Regions and Northern Shan, Chin States. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

 STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be slight to moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

 OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Kachin State.
