SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, Light rain had been isolated in Kachin State, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Shan State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperature in Chin State, (2°C) below January average temperatures in Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Eastern Shan State and (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Kachin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-2°C) in Hakha, (3°C) each in Heho, Mindat and Ramthlo, (4°C) each in Namsam, Pinlaung, Loilin and Tiddim and (5°C) in Pyinoolwin.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 17th January, 2021: Rain will be isolated in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State. Degree of certainty is (80%). Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago Regions and Kayah, Kayin States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Isolated rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States.
