SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Mandalay, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Shan, Kayah States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) below January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Chin State, (2°C) above January average temperature in Naypyitaw and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-3°C) in Hakha, (2°C) in Ramthlo, (3°C) in Loilin and (4°C) each in Heho, Mindat and Tiddim.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 16th January, 2021: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Rakhine State and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of isolated light rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 16th January, 2021:       Generally fair weather.

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 16th January, 2021:                        A few cloud.

WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR WEEKEND: Weather will be generally fair in Naypyitaw, Mandalay Region and a few cloud in Yangon Region.
