SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, rain have been isolated in Mandalay and Ayeyarwady Regions. Weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway Regions and Chin, Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (3°C) to (4°C) below January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Chin State, (2°C) above January average temperature in Lower Sagaing Region and Kachin State, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and Kayah State, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Southern Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (-1°C) in Hakha, (4°C) in Mindat, (5°C) in Tiddim and (6°C) each in Kyaukmae, Heho, Falam, Ramthlo, Pyinoolwin and Mogoke. The noteworthy amount of rainfall recorded was (0.31) inch in Labutta.
BAY INFERENCE: Weather is a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Bay of Bengal.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th January, 2021: Light rain are likely to be isolated in Kachin and Shan States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be generally fair in Magway Region and Chin, Rakhine, Kayin and Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (4-7) feet off and along Myanmar Coast.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of decrease of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Kayah States.
