SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24)hours, weather has been generally fair in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Magway, Ayeyarwady Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States and partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above January average temperature in Upper Sagaing Region, (3°C) to (4°C) above January average temperatures in Lower Sagaing, Magway, Yangon Regions and Kachin, Chin, Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States, (5°C) to (6°C) above January average temperatures in Mandalay, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern) Shan, Kayah States, (7°C) to (8°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw and Eastern Shan State. The significant night temperatures were (9°C) each in Heho, Mindat and (10°C) each in Kyaukmae, Hakha, Tiddim and Tongzan.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the Southwest and West Central Bay, a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 12th January, 2021: Likelihood of isolated rain in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Shan, Kayah States. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Strong easterly winds with moderate to rough seas are likely at times Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts. Surface wind speed in strong easterly winds may reach (35) m.p.h. Sea will be slight to moderate elsewhere in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-9) feet in Gulf of Mottama, off and along Mon-Taninthayi Coasts and about (3-6) feet in Deltaic, off and along Rakhine Coast.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight decrease of night temperatures in Bago Region and Shan, Kayah States.
