SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Mon State and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperature in Taninthayi Region, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Ayeyarwady Regions and Southern Shan, Mon States and (3°C) above January average temperature in Chin State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) each in Putao, Namsam and Heho, (6°C) each in Pinlaung, Hakha and Mogoke and (7°C) each in Machanbaw, Kyaukmae, Loilin and Pyinoolwin.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy to cloudy over the South Bay and a few cloud over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 05th January, 2021: Weather will be partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Bago, Yangon, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of slight increase of night temperatures in Naypyitaw, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Rakhine, Kayin, Mon States.
