SUMMARY OF OBSERVATIONS RECORDED AT 09:30 hrs M.S.T: During the past (24) hours, weather has been partly cloudy in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Eastern Shan States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States. Night temperatures were (2°C) below January average temperatures in Taninthayi Region and Kayin State, (2°C) above January average temperatures in Naypyitaw, Bago, Ayeyarwady Regions and (Northern and Southern)Shan State and about January average temperatures in the remaining Regions and States. The significant night temperatures were (5°C) each in Namsam, Heho and Pyinoolwin and (6°C) each in Putao, Machanbaw, Pinlaung, Mindat and Mogoke.

BAY INFERENCE: Weather is generally fair over the North Bay and a few cloud to partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 04th January, 2021: Light rain or thundershowers are likely to be isolated in Taninthayi Region. Degree of certainty is (60%). Weather will be partly cloudy in Kachin, Mon States and generally fair in the remaining Regions and States.

STATE OF THE SEA: Seas will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT: Likelihood of slight increase of night temperatures in Lower Myanmar areas.
