BAY INFERENCE:  According to the observations at (06:30)hrs MST today, the low pressure area over Central Bay of Bengal now lies over Westcentral Bay of Bengal and adjoining Central Bay of Bengal. It is forecast to move initially Northwestwards then North- Northeastwards.Weather is partly cloudy over the Andaman Sea and Southeast Bay and partly cloudy to cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.

FORECAST VALID UNTIL EVENING  OF THE 21st October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be isolated in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kayah, Kayin and Mon States, scattered in Magway and Bago Region and Shan (South and East) State, fairly widespread in Upper Sagaing and Taninthayi Regions, Kachin and Chin States and widespread in the remaining Regions and States with likelihood of isolated heavy falls in Ayeyarwady Regon. Degree of certainty is (80%).

STATE OF THE SEA: Squalls with moderate to rough seas are likely at times off and along Myanmar Coasts. Surface wind speed in squalls may reach (30-35)m.p.h. Wave height will be about (6-9) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.

OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of increase of rain in Sagaing and Mandalay Regions, Kachin, Chin and Rakhine States.

FORECAST FOR NAYPYITAW AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 21st October, 2020: Isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (80%).

FORECAST FOR YANGON AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 21st October, 2020: One or two rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (100%).

FORECAST FOR MANDALAY AND NEIGHBOURING AREA FOR 21st October, 2020: Likelihood of isolated rain or thundershowers. Degree of certainty is (60%).
