BAY INFERENCE: Weather is partly cloudy over the North Bay and East central Bay of Bengal. Monsoon is moderate over the Andaman Sea and elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
SPECIAL FEATURE: According to the observations at (15:30)hrs MST today, the tropical storm “Nangka” over the Gulf of Tonkin has crossed Northern Vietnam Coast. It is forecast to move westwards and weakened gradually.
FORECAST VALID UNTIL MORNING OF THE 15th October, 2020: Rain or thundershowers will be widespread in Taninthayi Region and Kayin, Mon States, fairly widespread in Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions, scattered in Kachin State and isolated in the remaining Regions and States. Degree of certainty is (80%).
STATE OF THE SEA: Sea will be moderate in Myanmar waters. Wave height will be about (5-8) feet off and along Myanmar Coasts.
OUTLOOK FOR SUBSEQUENT TWO DAYS: Likelihood of scattered to fairly widespread rain or thundershowers in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States.
